IF YOU BRING US YOUR ELECTRONIC PETROL INJECTORS WE WILL TEST THEM, STRIP OFF THE RELEVANT SEALS AND FILTERS, ULTRASONICALLY CLEAN THEM, RE-BUILD THEM AND THEN RETEST TO CHECK PATTERN AND FLOW RATE.
WE WILL FAULT CODE THE ABS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND GIVE YOU THE CODES STORED IN THE MEMORY. NOTE: THIS WILL GIVE A GUIDE TO THE PROBLEM AREA WHICH WHEN CURED SHOULD ERASE THE FAULT CODE LIGHT.
WE WILL CONNECT YOUR VEHICLE UP TO OUR EXHAUST ANALYSERS AND TEST YOUR EMISSIONS TO MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE MEETS CURRENT M.O.T. LEVELS. NOTE: NO MAJOR ADJUSTMENT OR DIAGNOSIS ARE CARRIED OUT AT THIS STAGE.
IF YOU HAVE SERVICED YOUR OWN VEHICLE OR HAD IT SERVICED ELSEWHERE, WE WILL RESET THE LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IF REQUIRED. NOTE: NO GUARANTEE OF THE VEHICLES SERVICE WILL BE GIVEN BY OURSELVES.
WE WILL INTERROGATE THE VEHICLE'S FAULT CODE MEMORY TO GIVE A CODE INDICATION OF THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAG FAULT IF THE LIGHT INDICATOR IS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH. IN SOME CASES WE MAY NEED TO ERASE THE FAULT CODE LIGHT ONCE YOU HAVE HAD THE PROBLEM REPAIRED. NOTE: MOST PROBLEMS WHEN CURED, ERASE THE FAULT CODE LIGHT.
IF THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT IS ON YOUR VEHICLE, WE WILL CONNECT OUR EQUIPMENT TO IT TO INTERROGATE THE SYSTEM AND PROVIDE FAULT CODES. THIS SHOULD GIVE A SOUND GUIDE AS TO THE PROBLEM, IF ANY, ON THE RUNNING OF THE VEHICLE.
THE FIRST JOB WE DO WILL BE TO TRY AND IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WE WILL CHECK:-
If the cause of failure is due to an engine fault, the customer will be advised before the turbo is removed. If we feel the replacement is not advisable, then purely a diagnostic charge will be due. Before the turbo is removed, the engine will be flushed to remove any contamination. All turbos will be fitted with any new caskets required, new oil and filter.
MAINLY THIS SERVICE WE USE FOR THE OLDER TYPE OF VEHICLES, WHERE TUNING IS STILL APPLICABLE I.E. CARBURETTOR VEHICLES WHERE ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE WITHIN THE SYSTEM, OR EARLY FUEL INJECTED VEHICLES WHICH ARE NOT COMPLETELY LAMBDA CONTROLLED.
HERE WE CARRY OUT A MORE IN-DEPTH INTERROGATION OF THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO ISOLATE RUNNING PROBLEMS OF THE VEHICLE. ONCE THIS CHECK IS CARRIED OUT, LIASON WITH THE CLIENT TAKES PLACE TO CONFIRM WHETHER THE REPAIR IS RELATIVELY SIMPLE AND QUICK OR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TIME IS REQUIRED OR EXTRA LABOUR INVOLVED TO FACILITATE A REPAIR.
THIS REALLY IS THE CHARGE INVOLVED WHEN FURTHER INVESTIGATION IS REQUIRED AFTER THE INITIAL SYSTEM CHECK IS CARRIED OUT.
WE WILL STRAP YOUR VEHICLE ON TO OUR ROLLING ROAD AND CHECK YOUR SPEEDO CALIBRATION AGAINST ACTUAL ROAD FIGURES. NOTE: NORMALLY WE WOULD CHECK BETWEEN 30 - 100 MPH EVERY 10 MPH, UNLESS YOU SPECIFY OTHERWISE.
THE ROLLING ROAD WE USE AS AN IDEAL TOOL TO INVESTIGATE "DRIVEABILITY" PROBLEMS ON A CAR THAT WOULD NOT NORMALLY BE PRODUCED UNLESS THE ENGINE IS UNDER LOAD. ONCE BASIC ENGINE CHECKS ARE CARRIED OUT, THE VEHICLE WOULD BE STRAPPED DOWN ONTO THE ROLLING ROAD AND THEN TESTED. WE CAN THEN SIMULATE DIFFERENT LOADS AND SPEEDS WITHIN THE WORKSHOP WHILE THE ENGINE IS CONNECTED TO OUR DIAGNOSITC EQUIPMENT. FEW GARAGES HAVE THIS FACILITY AND WOULD NEED TO RELY ON DRIVING AROUND THE STREETS TO "FEEL" THE PROBLEM.
